I’m off to Amsterdam for the holidays….stay tuned for a follow-up report. I’ve purchased my ticket online for the famous Rijksmuseum which, as you know, contains the world’s largest collection of paintings by the Dutch masters. There’s also Rembrandt’s canal house to visit where he lived and worked in the 17th century, as well as a dozen other interesting things to see and do.
Happy Holidays, dear blog readers!
Here’s a photo of me celebrating my 7th birthday in the 1960s in the snowy suburbs of Toronto.
Hi Juliet.
I always like seeing your posts each week. A refreshing change from Toronto news.
Just to refresh your memory, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law are good friends with Sarah and Elfie (sorry i am not sure how their names are spelled).
I get the sense that you and your sister are very different. That’s the way things are some times.
Anyways, have a good holiday season and keep the posts coming — when I read them they take my mind off of these drab Toronto winters.
regards, blair

Hi Blair, sorry for the delay in responding – just got back to Paris this afternoon after 3 terrific days in Amsterdam (I’ll definitely be going back) and then 2 days with friends in Lille. You are correct in saying that my sister and I are different from one another….VERY different!!
Even though we don’t have the snow and sub-zero temps here in Paris, winters can be drab here too – endless gray and damp. Gray gray gray.
Thanks for your greetings – I wish you too a good Holiday season and a healthy, prosperous New Year. I have a feeling that 2015 is going to be a good year.
cheers, Juliet
You were adorable, Juliet! Happy Christmas and Best Wishes for a prosperous and happy 2015
Hi Antoinette, thanks so much – I wish you too all the best for a fine 2015.
