The Heartbreak Kid

This movie is, hands down, one of the funniest of its decade. Watch it if you want to laugh out loud. Jewish newlywed, played magnificently by a young Charles Grodin, drives to Miami from New York on his honeymoon. By the time he and his wife reach South Carolina, he believes he has made a terrible mistake.

When he meets Cybill Shepherd, blonde shiksa goddess, on the beach his life gets complicated.

Another thing I love about this film is the era. Did we really dress like that? Yes, we did. I miss that decade, I really do; for more reasons that you can imagine. I don’t think I’m alone in feeling terribly nostalgic these days…
